Program Overview

Phase 1

In this phase we’ll establish the way our team collaborates and determine the nature of the case study we will be solving for during this program. We’ll familiarise ourselves with digital collaboration tools, establish team values and contextualise a problem statement using a designers point of view.

Phase 2

During phase 2 we’ll act as antroplogists, researchers and data analysts. We’ll experiment with inclusive design research practices to map out the context of our case study. We’ll use updated persona creation techniques to create an overview of our diverse user groups. We’ll practice data analysis and synthesis through the newest digital collaboration techniques.

Phase 3

Phase 3 is about leading stakeholder engagement and pin-pointing the impact we think is necessary to make within our context based on our research. From here we’ll learn how to apply our creativity using various brainstorm techniques generating various solutions. We’ll learn how to center the needs of our users and use co-creation techniques to build together with them.

Phase 4

In the last phase we’ll make our solutions tangible and test our ideas with our user groups. We’ll learn how to practice ethical user testing techniques and make our solution truly user-centric. We’ll also test the impact our solution has on the context and use future visioning tools to map our path forward.

Next Steps

Ready to start this journey? the following steps will get you there!

1.

2.

Application interview

Once you send over your details, we’d love to invite you to our Application Interview. During this interview we’ll simply talk about your reasons for applying to the program and your previous experience with the design process. We do this to make sure we can assemble a cohort that has the same expectations and objectives for the program.

3.

Determine cohort for schedule

After the application process is finished for most of the cohort, we’ll start creating our schedule for the cohort. Our schedule is not fixed yet because we want to make sure it fits with the schedule of the cohort. This might mean we have to split the cohort up to ensure everyone is able to attend the workshops.

4.

Kick-off

Once we have created a schedule, we invite you to our kick-off meeting where you’ll officially meet the rest of the cohort. From here the journey begins…
